Ingeteam Australia is currently seeking a full time VSD Technician.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will become an integral part of our Australian Drives & Automation Business.
The primary responsibilities will include supporting the LV and MV Power Converter Systems / VSDs supplied within the mining space.
This position requires working remotely and onsite, involving interstate travel to sites across Australia.
Responsibilities
Supporting commissioning of new systems, and scheduled and preventative service and repair as required, with a key focus on Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and power conversion systems.
Work adhering strictly to all HSE systems, procedures & regulations Performing commissioning, scheduled and breakdown maintenance & service including;
Troubleshooting mechanical & electrical issues on solar power generation equipment
Mechanical & Electrical component maintenance, repair & replacement
Testing & Diagnostics analysis
Accesing remotely to systems to identify, diagnose and resolve faults and alarms.
Documenting all work using computer-based service reporting procedures
Executing assistance in the field (of the start-up type, repairs, modifications... etc.)
Reporting documentation to the Department (part of assistance signed by the client, cost sheets, etc.)
Generating reports for the client
Providing basic customer training
Remote monitoring of commissioning carried out by the client.
Office support to the Support department (remote connections, incident follow-up,...)
Generating technical work documentation
Proposing improvement actions
Ensuring safety and health in your workplace, in accordance with established procedures and current regulations.
