Central Coast Steiner Schoolis seeking an inspiring and highly organised educational leader to serve as ourInternational Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Coordinatorfor Years 11 and 12, commencing in Term 1, ****.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for an experienced secondary educator who is passionate about academic excellence, student wellbeing, and the transformative potential of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme within a Steiner educational environment.
The successful applicant will coordinate and lead the delivery, development and continuous improvement of the IBDP while maintaining a0.6 FTE teaching loadwithin the Senior School.

About the Role
The IBDP Coordinator is responsible for providing educational leadership and strategic oversight of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 11 and 12.
Working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal, Senior School leadership team and teaching staff, the Coordinator will ensure the successful implementation of all IB requirements while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide pedagogical leadership across the Diploma Programme, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment practices aligned with IB standards.
Serving as the primary liaison between the School and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO)
Supporting and mentoring IBDP teachers in curriculum planning, assessment and programme delivery
Overseeing student subject selection, programme compliance and academic progress
Oversee and coordinate the successful delivery of the core IB Diploma Programme elements, including Theory of Knowledge (ToK), Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
Coordinating IB evaluations, reporting requirements and accreditation processes
Leading professional learning and promoting best practice in teaching and learning
Monitor student achievement data and coordinate interventions that support strong academic outcomes and successful completion of the Diploma Programme.
Teaching Senior Secondary classes equivalent to approximately 60% of a full teaching load
Promoting the IBDP to the school community and broader audiences at events, on digital platforms and creating promotional material
Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to the broader life of the School community.
Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary curriculum, assessment and pedagogical practices.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and carers.
Proven capacity to lead curriculum initiatives and support professional learning
Commitment to student-centred education and a caring learning workplace
Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic educational environment.
Demonstrated capacity to develop, document and differentiate curriculum to meet diverse learner needs.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice.
Desirable Criteria
Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Previous experience as an IB Coordinator, Head of Department or equivalent leadership position.
Understanding of, or interest in learning more about Steiner education.
Experience leading curriculum and compliance requirements associated with senior secondary programmes.
Completion of relevant IB professional learning.
