We are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Western Sydney University - Penrith on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Working across a Monday to Friday roster, you will deliver facilities and building maintenance services, to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all building occupants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively and efficiently manage the overall maintenance of apartments, common areas and building exterior
Complete general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and carpentry
Communicate with contractors and understand the workings of all equipment
Obtain written quotes for approval by the University, where required
Obtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plant equipment
Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs including selection of suppliers and support system, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management.

What we are looking for
Similar experience within student accommodation or hospitality industry
Trade qualification will be highly regarded
Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S; principles and chemical handling
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
You will possess a positive, can-do attitude




Valid Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
Valid work rights in Australia
