Job Description
We're looking for a dynamic, passionate and student-focused Trainer & Assessor in Individual Support (Age Care and Disability) who is ready to deliver engaging, practical and industry-relevant training that makes a genuine difference.
You'll be the person who brings learning to life — combining your industry experience with creativity, energy and empathy to help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
You'll work within the Standards for Registered Training Organisations, relevant state government funding requirements and MiHaven Training's quality framework.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging training that meets regulatory requirements while keeping learners motivated, involved and excited about their learning
Create practical, relevant and real-world learning experiences that help students connect theory to the work they'll actually be doing in the community
Conduct fair, consistent and competency-based assessments that maintain assessment integrity while giving students the opportunity to demonstrate what they know and can do
Support, encourage and mentor students throughout their learning journey — helping them overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve their goals
Use current industry knowledge and experience to ensure training reflects contemporary workplace practices and the needs of care within the community
Represent MiHaven Training professionally and contribute to a positive,



supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student has the chance to succeed
Deliver training and assessment across CHC***** Certificate III in Individual Support
About you
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an equivalent/higher recognised training and assessment qualification
Hold the CHC***** Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, or other relevant qualifications aligned to the units you will deliver
Current and relevant industry experience in Individual Support (Aging or disability)
Experience delivering classroom, face-to-face and/or online training, with strong facilitation and student engagement skills
A sound understanding of competency-based assessment and the requirements of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) ****
A commitment to maintaining industry currency and undertaking professional development in accordance with regulatory requirements
A genuine passion for supporting learners and helping students build the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to succeed in the care and community services sector
