Maintenance Handyman | Static Site

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Handyman to join a facilities team based at a large critical static site.

This is a varied role carrying out general repairs, preventative maintenance and minor works across the facility. You’ll suit this position if you’re a practical all rounder who enjoys fixing things and working across different maintenance tasks each day.

The Role

Your day to day duties may include:
General building repairs and maintenance
Touch up painting, patching walls and minor plaster repairs
Basic plumbing including taps, toilets, sinks and minor leaks
Changing light bulbs, fittings and basic lighting maintenance
Minor carpentry including doors, locks, handles, shelving and cabinetry
Repairing door closers, hinges and general hardware
Hanging fixtures, signage,



noticeboards and other fittings
Minor furniture repairs and assembly
Basic tiling, grouting and silicone repairs
General preventative maintenance and site inspections
Responding to maintenance requests and minor reactive works
Coordinating with specialist trades where required
Ensuring works are completed safely and with minimal disruption to the site

About You
Previous handyman, building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience
Good general knowledge across basic plumbing, painting and carpentry
Comfortable working independently across a large static site
Strong problem solving skills and a practical approach to maintenance
Well presented with valuable communication skills
Full Australian Driver Licence
Relevant trade experience or qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
