Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Windsor workshop.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanic who takes pride in their work, enjoys diagnosing and repairing vehicles properly, and wants to work in a professional workshop where quality matters.
You will work on a varied range of vehicles and jobs, meaning no two days are exactly the same.
Please note: You must currently be located in Brisbane/SEQ or be willing to relocate to Brisbane to be considered for this position.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out logbook servicing and scheduled maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Using diagnostic scan tools and workshop diagnostic equipment
Brake, suspension and steering repairs
Engine and cooling system repairs
Electrical fault finding
General mechanical repairs and maintenance
Engine repairs and rebuilds
Completing work to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
Carrying out thorough inspections and identifying additional issues
Maintaining a clean,
organised and professional work workplace
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Is a trade-qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic
Has at least 2 years' post-trade experience
Has strong mechanical knowledge and practical diagnostic ability
Is confident using modern vehicle diagnostic scan tools
Can diagnose faults rather than simply replace parts
Can work independently while also being a team player
Takes pride in producing quality workmanship
Has good attention to detail
Can work efficiently and meet reasonable job timeframes
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Communicates professionally with other team members
Holds a current Australian driver's licence
Experience with the following is highly regarded
European vehicles
Japanese/JDM vehicles
Performance vehicles
Advanced diagnostics
Electrical fault finding
Engine repairs and rebuilds
EFI and fuel system diagnostics
4WDs
