Handyman / Carpenter – Commercial Property Maintenance

This is a hands-on and varied role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently work independently and enjoys solving the day-to-day maintenance issues that come with managing commercial properties. You'll travel between properties completing repairs, preventative maintenance, minor carpentry works and general property upkeep.

Key responsibilities
Completing routine, preventative, urgent and ad-hoc property maintenance
Undertaking minor carpentry, repairs and general handyman works
Inspecting properties and identifying maintenance or repair requirements
Completing minor building, fixtures, doors, locks and general property repairs
Assisting with grounds and external property maintenance where required
Coordinating with the Facility Manager regarding maintenance priorities and upcoming works
Managing assigned work orders from receipt through to completion
Engaging and coordinating specialist contractors where works are outside your scope
Monitoring contractor attendance,



workmanship and completion of works
Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with Mica Properties' WHS requirements

About you
Carpentry, handyman or general building maintenance experience
Experience maintaining commercial properties, facilities or similar settings
Strong general repair and maintenance skills
The ability to identify maintenance issues and determine practical solutions
Valuable communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
Robust time management and attention to detail
The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks
