Your Impact
Help shape the operational foundations of a rapidly growing community housing portfolio, ensuring new homes transition seamlessly from development into long-term management.
The Role
This is a hands-on senior role responsible for bringing new community housing developments into operation.
Working across development, asset management and operations, you will ensure each project is operationally ready and that nothing gets lost between construction, handover and ongoing management.
With around 1,000 new homes planned across Sydney's Parramatta and Hills District over the next two years, you will help establish a scalable approach to asset transition and operational readiness.
Specifically, you will:
Lead the transition of new developments into ongoing community housing operations
Develop transition plans, readiness frameworks and handover processes
Work closely with Bridge Housing and internal development and asset teams
Identify and resolve operational, systems and process gaps before handover
Ensure tenant transition, leases, reporting and operational requirements are in place
Develop practical systems and technology solutions to improve efficiency and scalability
The Organisation
Acacia Communities is a growing not-for-profit housing provider focused on delivering affordable, well-designed and sustainable homes that keep people connected to their communities.
With approximately 1,000 current homes planned across Sydney over the next two years, Acacia is building the operational capability required to manage a significant and growing community housing portfolio.
What You Bring
You are a commercially minded, hands-on senior operator who can move confidently between strategy and detail.
You understand how development, assets and operations connect and are comfortable identifying problems and making things happen.
Key experience and capabilities include:
Strong understanding of community housing and CHP operations
Experience in asset transition, mobilisation, property or housing operations
Commercial understanding of property, assets and investment
Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills
Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on
A practical approach to systems, process improvement and technology
Confidence to take ownership, solve problems and drive outcomes
