APS5 Finance Officers – Multiple Opportunities
Federal Government opportunity
Surry Hills NSW or Richmond VIC or Geelong VIC
$***** per hour + super
Contract until 31 December **** + potential extension

DFP Recruitment is seeking experienced APS5 Finance Officers to join a large Federal Government agency.
Multiple opportunities are available across different areas of the finance function, offering the chance to work within either FinanceOperations/AccountsPayable or Assets and Lease Accounting.
These roles would suit finance professionals who enjoy working in a large, complex environment and can confidently manage financial processes, investigate issues and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The opportunities
Depending on your background and experience, responsibilities may include:
Accounts Payable, invoice and payment processing
Vendor management and resolution of outstanding invoices
Investigating invoice discrepancies and unmatched goods receipts
Finance service desk and stakeholder enquiries
Quality assurance of payment and vendor requests
Financial reporting, reconciliations and maintenance of finance records
Asset, fleet and property lease accounting
Preparing and posting journals and monthly reconciliations
Maintaining lease information within financial management systems
Supporting asset reporting, financial statements and audit requirements
Supporting compliance with AASB 16 lease accounting requirements




Liaising with internal business areas, suppliers and shared service providers
About you
We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience across one or more of the following areas:
Accounts Payable or Finance Operations
Asset or Fixed Asset Accounting
Lease Accounting
Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant positions
Financial reconciliations and reporting
Government finance, procurement or goods receipting processes
SAP or other large ERP/financial management systems
SAP RE-FX and/or AASB 16 experience will be highly regarded for the asset-focused opportunity
Solid Excel, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
You do not need experience across all areas listed above.
Candidates will be considered against the opportunity most closely aligned to their finance background.
