Join our team as aCafé Attendantand bring warmth, energy, and quality service to our in-house café at Bankisa Lodge Broulee!
This is a chance to bring joy to residents, create a welcoming space for families and visitors, and be part of a caring team that values respect, empathy, and community.
As a Café Attendant you'll help run a café service that mirrors the standards of a contemporary community café, while catering to the unique needs of residents in aged care.
You'll work both independently and under the guidance of our Café Supervisor.
What you'll do:
Serve food and beverages safely and professionally
Prepare light meals and a range of hot and cold drinks
Operate POS systems and manage cash/EFT transactions
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of café and service areas
Re-stock and rotate inventory
Monitor and report any equipment or supply issues
Assist with light cleaning, dishwashing, and setting/resetting tables
What We're Looking For:
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Minimum 1 years' experience in a busy café
Familiarity with POS and EFT systems
Strong customer service and communication skills
A genuine respect and empathy for older people
