We are seeking an experiencedPractice Managerto join our team at Strathfield Family Medical Centre .
This is a pivotal position within our medical practice, where you will be responsible for the management and day to day operations of the clinic.
The Practice Manager plays a strategic role in ensuring the practice runs efficiently, maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivers an excellent experience for both patients and staff.
You will oversee administrative functions, staffing, and the implementation of systems and procedures that support quality patient care.
We have a practice nurse, and allied health available at our practice.
Key responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service delivery
Recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising administrative and clinical staff, whilst fostering a positive workplace culture
Implementing and maintaining practice policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Scheduling appointments and managing patient records in accordance with privacy legislation and best practice guidelines
Maintaining and managing medical equipment, supplies, and inventory levels
Liaising with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations
Monitoring and improving practice performance metrics, including patient satisfaction, staff retention, and financial health
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including privacy laws, workplace health and safety requirements, and medical practice standards
Maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive patient and business information appropriately
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a Practice Manager in a medical practice or similar healthcare setting, ideally for 2+ years
Strong knowledge of medical practice operations, healthcare administration,
and relevant legislation such as privacy laws and workplace requirements
Proficiency with practice management software and electronic health record systems(Pracsoft, Medical Director, Polar and Cubiko)
Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Leadership capabilities and experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
A patient-centered mindset and genuine commitment to delivering quality healthcare services
