Job Description
The Early Support and Wellbeing Worker is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of a range of early intervention, wellbeing, parenting, and community-based programs that support children, young people, families, schools, and the broader community. The role works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify community needs, deliver evidence-informed programs, strengthen family and community capacity, and improve wellbeing outcomes.

Key responsibilities
n
Develop, implement and evaluate evidence-informed early intervention, wellbeing, parenting, family support and community-based programs for children, young people and families.
n
Deliver individual and group-based wellbeing supports, educational programs and early intervention services to children, young people, parents and families.
n
Implement and facilitate parenting education programs, family support initiatives, playgroups and community learning opportunities.
n
Build cooperative relationships with schools, community organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways and service accessibility.
n
Identify emerging community needs and contribute to the development of responsive programs and supports.
n
Plan and deliver community education, awareness and engagement activities that promote wellbeing, resilience and positive family outcomes.
n
Maintain accurate, timely and confidential client records, program documentation and data systems in accordance with organisational policies, funding requirements and program guidelines.
n
Adhere to mandatory child protection obligations and respond appropriately to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
n
Monitor, evaluate and report on program outcomes, participation trends and service impact to support quality improvement and organisational objectives.
n
Collect, analyse and utilise data to measure outcomes,



inform service delivery and demonstrate program effectiveness.

About you
n
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Work or relevant discipline.
n
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues impacting children, young people and families, and the ability to respond effectively to complex needs.
n
Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of group programs, educational workshops or community-based initiatives.
n
Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply trauma-informed and strengths-based practice approaches.
n
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with schools, community organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders.
n
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate client records, data collection systems and reporting requirements.
n
Demonstrated ability to utilise evidence, outcomes and data to inform service delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.
n
High-level digital literacy, including experience using client management systems, Microsoft Office applications, online platforms and social media.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent and promote The Family Co. to community members, schools, government agencies and other stakeholders.
n
Current Working with Children check and Police check required.
