Job Description
A and M Earthmoving is seeking an experienced Excavator Combo Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Wynnum, QLD ****, this is a hands‐on operational role that is fundamental to the success of our earthmoving and construction projects. As an Excavator Combo Operator, you will be responsible for operating plant and machinery to deliver high‐quality results on site. This role offers the opportunity to work with up-to-date equipment and contribute directly to the completion of significant construction and earthmoving projects across the region.

What you'll be doing
n
Operating excavators and associated plant machinery safely and efficiently on construction and earthmoving sites
n
Executing precise digging, loading, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications and site plans
n
Conducting pre‐operation inspections and maintenance checks on plant and machinery to ensure all equipment is in safe working order
n
Working collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
n
Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations, site protocols and company procedures
n
Operating combo equipment as required, demonstrating versatility and adaptability across multiple plant types
n
Maintaining accurate records of plant usage, fuel consumption and any equipment issues encountered during shifts
n
Responding promptly to site requirements and adjusting work practices to suit changing site conditions

What we're looking for
n
Current Medium Rigid (or higher) as a minimum requirement
n
Valid and current High Risk Work Licence for excavator operation or the ability to obtain one
n
Proven experience operating excavators and combo plant machinery on construction or earthmoving sites
n




Demonstrated competency in precision digging, trenching, loading and material handling tasks
n
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in the construction and earthmoving industry
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes
n
Physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in varied weather conditions
n
Experience with multiple plant types and willingness to learn new equipment is highly desirable
n
A valid national police clearance or willingness to undergo one prior to commencement
