Chillin Air Conditioning
Queensland
Job Description
We're not looking for a compliance-only approach. We need someone who can help us build a genuine safety culture.
n
Chillin Air Conditioning & Electrical is looking for a practical, personable and experienced Work Health and Safety Lead to help shape the next stage of our work health and safety (WHS) journey.
n
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing WHS function within an established Queensland business and work closely with our field teams, branch leaders and management team to continue strengthening our systems, capability and safety culture.
n
We are not looking for someone who believes the best WHS outcomes come from rules alone.
n
We are looking for someone who can listen, build relationships, understand how work is genuinely performed and turn WHS requirements into practical solutions that people can understand and apply.
n
You'll need the judgement to recognise when something requires immediate attention, while also understanding that sustainable improvement is often achieved through education, consultation, prioritisation and bringing people along with you.
n
If you believe the best safety cultures are built collaboratively, we'd really like to meet you.
n
About Chillin
n
Chillin Air Conditioning & Electrical has been operating for more than three decades and has grown to a team of over 100 people across multiple Queensland locations.
n
We specialise in residential new-build air conditioning and electrical installations and work with many of Queensland's leading builders.
n
We are a fast-moving, practical and people-focused business. Our team includes electricians, air conditioning technicians, apprentices, trade assistants, warehouse staff, administration teams and leaders with a wide range of personalities and experience.
n
At Chillin, we value teamwork, ownership, accountability, respect, integrity, practical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
n
As our business continues to grow, we are investing further in our WHS systems and capability to ensure our approach to safety continues to develop alongside our operations.
n
About the Role
n
As our Work Health and Safety Lead, you will take ownership of coordinating and continuously improving Chillin's WHS function.
n
You will work closely with our field teams, branch leaders and management team to develop and maintain WHS systems and processes that are compliant, practical and effective in a real-world construction environment.
n
Some days you'll be developing or reviewing WHS documentation, coordinating training, analysing trends or working through an incident.
n
Other days you'll be on site talking with our crews, conducting inspections, understanding how work is performed and helping develop practical ways to manage risk.
n
You'll also work with a diverse leadership team, which means the ability to communicate, influence and navigate different perspectives will be just as important as your technical WHS knowledge.

n
What You'll Be Responsible For
