The Benedict Industries group of companies is a Sydney-based, family-owned and managed Quarrying, Resources and Recycling Company. In **** the Company expanded into mining, acquiring a large sand resource at Chipping Norton (which it extracted until ****) before embarking on a course of expanding its resource base that continues today. The Company continues to acquire and develop new deposits for extraction throughout the Sydney region and supplies a comprehensive range of Sands, Soils, Sandstone, Decorative Aggregates and Recycled products.

Benedict Industries is looking for MAINTENANCE FITTER to join their team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Minimum 3yrs experience as a qualified Welder/ Boilermaker/ Fitter.

Ability to work in a high pressured, high paced workplace. Competent and working alone and as part of a team. Ability to interpret plans & designs.
n
Awareness of working environment with heavy plant machinery. Good eye for detail. Ability to work in a confined area.

Your key accountabilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:



Steel fabrication & welding of new & replacement parts Scheduled maintenance of Plant, Crushing Plant and Timber Shredder
n
Scheduling servicing of Plant, Crushing Plant and Timber Shredder. Emergency repairs of Plant, Crushing Plant and Timber Shredder. Team input to improve current plant design and assist with re-engineering and installation
n
Gas Cutting Gas Welding Arc Welding
n
Mig Welding Some confined space/ restricted access work as directed. To operate plant and equipment from time to time as required
n
You are required to adhere to, and take responsibility for, all company policies including, but not limited to, Occupational Health & Safety policy Environment policy

Quality General housekeeping and sweeping as required Attend and participate in any management, leadership, safety course and any other course relevant to your job description as suggested by your manager

To maintain Company Property, including vehicle, mobile phone and Laptop
n
Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
