About you
n
The role of the Operations Assistant is to provide support to the Perioperative team. The Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting with the transportation of equipment and patients throughout the suite / wards,



attending general cleaning duties and maintaining a protected environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
n
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
n
n
Assist the nursing staff to organise the operating room equipment necessary for a smooth list continuity
n
Transport patients to and from operating suite
n
Assist with the positioning of the patient in the operating room
n
Assist with the changeover routine between cases including mopping, rubbish and moving equipment
n
Removal and management of all waste and linen
n
Perform end of day cleaning tasks and set up equipment for the next day
n
Check and replacement of supplies
n
Carry out periodic cleaning duties as per work schedules
n
Assist with the movement of stores, stock storage, packing and unpacking when required
n
n
Essential Criteria:
n
n
Flexible work schedule, must be able to work morning and afternoon shifts as required
n
Manual handling training to be completed
n
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
n
Demonstrate a customer focused mindset
n
Ability to work independently as well as in a team displaying a 'can do' attitude




n
Proven commitment to professional development and quality improvement
n
Open and honest approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality
n
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination status
n

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience in the role of Operating Assistant
n
