A well-regarded Queensland firm is looking for a junior litigator to join its commercial disputes team in Brisbane. This is a genuine hands-on role, not a discovery seat.

The role
n
You'll run your own smaller files end to end and second-chair larger matters alongside senior practitioners. Work spans general commercial and contractual disputes, with exposure to insolvency, building and construction, and property and estate disputes depending on your interest.

Carriage of your own matters with partner supervision

Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions and correspondence
n
Court appearances on interlocutory applications and directions from early on
n
Briefing and working with counsel
n
Client contact from the start,

About you
n
n
1-3 years PAE in commercial litigation or general disputes
n
Admitted in Queensland
n
Comfortable in the QCAT, Magistrates, District and Supreme Court jurisdictions
n
Strong drafting and a practical approach to file management
n
Looking for court time and file quality over volume
n
n

$85,000 - $115,000 plus super
