Milestones Early Learning Ashby is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our friendly team and prepare nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
n
Located on Korovin Drive in Ashby, our centre provides quality early education and care in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for local families.
n
The role
n
n
This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.
n
You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips!
n
You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program - a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.

About you
n
n
Efficient and capable cook
n
Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages
n
Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control
n
Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards
n
Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs
n
Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events
n

You already have
n
n
Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate
n
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)
n
Experience in an early childhood setting
n
Reliable transport to and from our centre
n
Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
n
