This is a newly created position reporting directly to the CFO, and sitting alongside our offshore based Finance & Logistics Manager and his team. You own the accounts themselves — the complete reporting, from the first transaction to statements an auditor can rely on.

Key responsibilities
n

Prepare consolidated financial statements for two corporate groups - from transaction entry, reconciliations and month-end close through to auditable accounts
n
Draft management accounts and financial reporting for the CFO
n
Process Australian accounts payable and receivable, and payroll for both groups
n
Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS, and manage the tax agent and external audit relationships
n
Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management and company secretarial administration
n
Sharpen the systems, processes and controls behind the numbers (Xero and Unleashed)
n

About you
n
n
CPA or CA qualified (essential)
n
5+ years' professional accounting experience, including consolidations and statutory reporting
n
You take pride in accounts that stand up to scrutiny - clean reconciliations, tight month-ends, statements an auditor signs without concern
n
Solid systems skills - Xero and Unleashed (or similar platforms) highly regarded
n
Experience in food, FMCG or international distribution would be a bonus
n
High attention to detail, real accountability, and clear communication across an international team
