Outdoor Educator (Fixed Term 12-Month Contract) Moss Vale, NSW | Commencing 18 January ****

Belgravia Outdoor Education is seeking experienced and capable Outdoor Educators to join our Victorian team on a fixed-term 12-month contract from 18 January **** to 24 December ****, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial contract period.
n

What's on Offer?

0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week)
n
Annual 0.8 Salary: $45,******
n
$1,****** per fortnight (before tax, excluding allowances and super)
n
7 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
n
Superannuation paid in addition to salary
n
$50 overnight supervision allowance
n
$50 field day allowance for each day supervising students in the field
n
Rostered Time Off (RTO) - (All hours worked over 30.4 hours per week accrue as RTO, Take time back when operationally suitable)
n
Overtime (Paid for hours worked over 12 hours in a single day)
n
4 weeks accommodation provided on commencement (Giving you time to settle into the region and decide where you'd like to live)
n

What Could You Earn?
n
Your guaranteed salary is $1,****** per fortnight before tax, regardless of whether you're working,
taking annual leave, or using rostered time off.
n
For example:
n
If you work two 5-day journey programs within a fortnight, with 8field days and 8 overnight supervision allowances, you could earn:
n
n
Base fortnightly pay: $1,******
n
8 Overnight Allowances: $400
n
8 Field Day Allowances: $400
n
n
Total = $2,****** per fortnight before tax, plus:
n
n
Any accrued RTO for hours worked over 30.4 hours per week
n
Any overtime payable for days exceeding 12 hours
n
n
The Role
n
This role is primarily focused on our Journey Programs, delivering outdoor education experiences across New South Wales and occasionally interstate.
n
You could find yourself:
n
n
Leading students through remote environments
n
Camping for 3 to 5 days at a time
n
Sleeping in tents
n
Facilitating personal growth and resilience programs
n
Delivering canoeing, bushwalking, camping, and expedition experiences
n
Supporting programs across NSW and occasionally interstate when required
n
n
While all programs are coordinated from Moss Vale, NSW, you may live anywhere in New South Wales provided you can reliably travel to Moss Vale at the commencement of programs.

What You'll Need

To be considered, you must hold:

Current Wilderness First Aid Qualification
n
Current Working With Children Check
n
Current unrestricted Driver Licence
n
Experience leading outdoor education journey-based programs
n
A strong commitment to risk management, student wellbeing and child safety
n
n
These requirements must be met before commencing employment.

Salary Increase

The salary above reflects the commencement rate. A pay increase will apply from the first pay period in July **** in accordance with our employment arrangements.
