Your opportunity: Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will provide legal expertise primarily to various property, planning and project matters while assisting with other areas including general advisory, contract, setting, and regulatory matters. With guidance from senior colleagues, you will take responsibility for specific legal services, with a focusing on property, planning and project matters. You will act as a trusted business partner to internal clients, offering specialist guidance on policies and procedures while resolving queries and escalating complex issues appropriately. You will have opportunities to build your capabilities and support the wider organisation through training and coaching.
About You
You are a proactive and commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with the business to deliver practical, risk-based legal solutions. You will bring strong legal knowledge across property, planning and projects matters, with the ability to balance stakeholder needs while supporting positive business outcomes. With a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills, you build trusted relationships across the organisation and contribute to a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement.




Tertiary qualifications in Law and admitted as a legal practitioner in QLD
4+ years' experience in a similar role
Experience providing legal advice generally with a focus on property, planning and project matters
Strong stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused and collaborative approach
Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with confidence navigating complex issues
Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies, regulations and compliance obligations
A demonstrated ability to build capability in others through coaching, guidance or knowledge sharing
