Job Description
Western Sydney Community Support Services – Ropes Crossing NSW
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support a 12-year-old male participant with non-verbal autism and ADHD in Ropes Crossing.
Hours are Monday to Friday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with potential additional hours on weekends and longer hours available during school holidays.
Initial buddy shifts will be provided.
Key responsibilities
Provide after-school support and supervision
Assist with daily routines and activities
Support with toilet training and personal care
Use appropriate communication strategies for a non-verbal participant
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Develop independence and life skills
Support community participation and recreational activities




Follow individual support and behaviour plans
Maintain a safe, respectful and structured environment
Complete accurate progress notes
About you
Experience supporting children with autism and ADHD
Experience working with non-verbal participants
A patient, calm, caring and reliable approach
Experience with toileting and personal care
Understanding of positive behaviour support
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work weekends and school holidays
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check
First Aid and CPR
Relevantdisability/communityservices experience
