Key responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Prepare weekly cash flow management and reporting
Process monthly payroll
Support the Financial Controller with month-end close, general ledger review, and maintenance
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and statutory compliance, including PAYG, IAS, and BAS
Liaise with external tax agents and other key stakeholders
Maintain employee records, including contracts, agreements, and related documentation
Support the production of monthly reporting packs and financial analysis
Identify opportunities to evaluate and improve financial processes and systems
Assist with year-end audit preparation
About you
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent required
CPA/CA qualified or studying towards membership, highly desirable
Full working rights in Australia
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role or Public Practice preferred
Sound understanding of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end processes
Exposure to tax and statutory compliance (PAYG, BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax)
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating with the wider team
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Experience with Xero and strong Excel skills
