Immediate Start – SIL Disability Support Workers – Ballina

Across the Coast Abilities is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual work in Ballina.
n
The role involves supporting an adult woman with Down syndrome, a spinal condition and wheelchair-based mobility.
n
Available shifts:
n
Additional second-worker shifts are available for 2:1 transfers three times per day, totalling six hours each day.
n
Weekday and weekend shifts are available. Applicants can nominate their preferred shifts and availability.
n
Duties include personal care, daily living assistance, wheelchair and mobility support, 2:1 manual handling and transfers, medication assistance, meal preparation,



domestic assistance and community access.
n
Applicants must have:
n
n
NDIS Worker Screening clearance
n
First Aid and CPR
n
Disability support experience
n
Manual-handling and transfer experience
n
Medication-assistance experience
n
Australian working rights
n
Reliability and availability for immediate commencement
n
n
Experience supporting people with Down syndrome, spinal conditions, wheelchair mobility or complex personal-care needs is highly regarded.
n
Casual employment is offered under the SCHADS Award, including applicable penalty rates, superannuation and sleepover allowance.
