About the role:
n
As a trailer mechanic, you will ensure the safety and reliability of heavy vehicles by performing expert maintenance, servicing and repair operations.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Servicing of heavy commercial trailers
n
Fault find and repair suspension and brake air systems
n
Servicing and repair of heavy commercial vehicle suspension systems and brake reline
n
Test and repair basic electrical circuits
n
Fault find and repair air and hydraulic control systems
n
Accurately complete all paperwork associated with repair and maintenance
n
Engage in diverse responsibilities that change daily, allowing you to apply existing skills and develop new ones.

We are looking for someone with:
n
n




Trade qualifications; Certificate III (or higher) in Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology, or Engineering
n
Forklift licence and HR licence or higher (preferred, although not essential)
n
Hydraulic, pneumatic and welding experience are advantageous
n
Excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
n
Good oral and written communication skills
n
The ability to work independently on tasks, but also within a small team
n
Good time management; including being punctual, and reliable
n
Own tools, and personal protection equipment
n
