About The Role
Ertech is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our team on the Wakehurst Parkway Improvement Project. This significant road infrastructure upgrade will deliver major improvements to the network, including shoulder widening, kerb realignments, intersection upgrades, additional traffic lanes, and flood mitigation works.
Reporting to the Civil Supervisor, you will play a key role in the delivery of earthworks and road construction activities, operating excavators up to 35 tonnes in a busy urban construction environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Operating excavators up to 35 tonnes safely and efficiently
Carrying out GPS final trim excavation works to specification
Assisting with earthworks, drainage, and pavement construction activities
Working safely around live services and existing infrastructure
Implementing and maintaining environmental controls
Conducting pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
Working collaboratively with site teams to achieve project milestones
Occasional night shifts and weekend work as required by project demands
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience operating excavators up to 35 tonnes within civil construction projects
Demonstrated GPS final trim operating experience
Previous experience working on urban road construction projects and around underground services
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Nationally recognised Excavator Operator competency/ticket
Construction White Card
Current driver's licence
Current Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Full Australian working rights
Ability to work occasional night shifts and weekends as required
