Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and motivated Team Leader Administration & Accounts to lead our busy Administration Team.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working across accounts, payroll and administration while also supporting and developing a small team. You'll play an significant role in keeping the day-to-day operations of the business organised, accurate and running smoothly.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a small and busy Administration Team of five.
n
You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the team while remaining hands-on across accounts, payroll and administration. We're looking for someone who can prioritise competing demands, support their team, solve problems and make sure the details don't get missed.
n
You'll be a confident communicator and approachable leader who is equally comfortable helping a team member, speaking with a customer or supplier, working through an accounts issue or assisting management with reporting.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
The Administration Team is responsible for a wide range of functions across the business, including:
n
Answering phones and welcoming customers
n
Liaising with customers,
suppliers and subcontractors
n
Producing purchase orders and sales invoices
n
General office administration
n
Maintaining accurate office records and documentation
n
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
Bank reconciliations
n
Processing customer and supplier payments
n
Processing weekly payroll using Xero
n
Maintaining employee and payroll records
n
Managing superannuation payments and administration
n
As Team Leader, your specific responsibilities will include:
n
Leading, supporting and coordinating a team of five
n
Managing workloads, priorities and day-to-day workflow across the Administration Team
n
Training, supporting and developing team members
n
Managing PAYG withholding and other payroll-related obligations
n
Preparing and lodging Payroll Tax
n
Preparing and lodging BAS and PAYG obligations
n
Reviewing reconciliations, journals and account adjustments
n
Assisting management with administration, financial information and reporting
n
Liaising with external accountants, including preparation for end-of-financial-year requirements
n
Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiencies
n
Helping ensure the broader office remains organised and operates smoothly
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is organised,
dependable and comfortable taking ownership. You will be able to balance the needs of your team with the day-to-day demands of a busy office and know how to keep things moving when priorities change.
n
Ideally, you will bring:
n
Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, including general ledger, bank reconciliations, journals and account adjustments
n
Experience in the use of ERP business software is essential,
n
Experience with Jim2 Business Engine software would be highly regarded, but not essential
n
Experience preparing and lodging BAS, PAYG and Payroll Tax
n
Strong payroll experience and a sound understanding of payroll and superannuation obligations
n
The ability to prepare and understand financial reports and provide useful information to management
n
Leadership
n
Proven experience leading or supervising an administration, accounts or office team
n
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
n
Confident and professional communication skills, particularly when dealing with customers
n
A collaborative, team-focused approach and willingness to be hands-on when needed
n

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on their skills and experience. The position is suited to an experienced
administration/accounts
