About the prospect
Reporting to the Site Manager and part of the Brighton Projects Construction team, the key focus of this role is to assist the Site Manager in project managing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the contract and Council approvals.
More specifically, you will support the Site Manager with:
Managing the program for flow of construction for a lifestyle retirement village
Managing a safety-first approach on site with up to 100 contractors
The allocation of materials and trades to job sites to ensure timely construction of the project
Ensuring that homes are built in accordance with contractual arrangements and approved drawings
Inspecting completed work to ensure high standard of quality workmanship
Ensuring that homes are completed on time and within the allocated budget
Ensuring construction is carried out safely and in accordance with company processes and systems
Ensuring Trades understand and are complying with the company Safety Management System and the WH&S; legislation and internal operating systems
Liaising with customers and council, as required to provide an unbeatable customer service
Ensuring that the required documentation and paperwork is completed during the building process
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger.
In addition, you will:
A Building Trade Certificate or willing to complete Cert IV Building and Construction
Ability to coordinate multiple service providers and suppliers to complete homes expediently.
General knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials, and work standards related to the building of residential homes
Strong communication and planning abilities with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
Dedicated to learning and progressing to Site Manager role
