THE ROLE
n
An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Rooms Division Manager to join a luxury hotel on Queensland's stunning Sunshine Coast.
n
Reporting directly to the General Manager and leading two direct reports, you will take ownership of the strategic leadership and day-to-day performance of the hotel's Front Office and Housekeeping operations, including associated contractor services.
n
This is a senior operational role for an accomplished luxury hotel professional who combines exceptional guest service standards with strong commercial acumen and an ability to inspire high-performing teams.

As Rooms Division Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless guest journey while ensuring operational efficiency, strong financial performance and consistently high luxury service standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
n

Provide strategic and operational leadership across Front Office, Housekeeping and associated contractor services
n
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Rooms Division team
n
Ensure guest arrivals, departures, room allocations and communications are managed seamlessly and in line with luxury service expectations
n
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the overall guest experience
n
Manage departmental budgets, forecasts and operating costs to achieve financial targets
n
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability
n
Optimise occupancy, room inventory and yield management in collaboration with relevant hotel departments
n
Review operational results and implement strategies to improve performance
n
Foster strong communication and collaboration between Front Office, Housekeeping and all other hotel departments
n




Ensure departmental policies, procedures and service standards are consistently maintained
n
Support the General Manager with broader operational and strategic hotel initiatives
n

THE MUST HAVES
n
To be successful in this position, you will be an established hotel leader with significant experience across Rooms Division operations within the luxury hospitality sector.
n
You will bring:
n
n
Demonstrated leadership experience within luxury hotel Rooms Division operations
n
Strong operational knowledge across Front Office and Housekeeping
n
Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing hotel teams
n
Solid commercial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, forecasts and financial performance
n
An understanding of occupancy, inventory management, yield and revenue optimisation
n
Strong knowledge of Front Office systems, including Opera PMS
n
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
n
The ability to manage multiple operational priorities within a fast-paced luxury hotel environment
n
A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to hotel operations
n
High levels of professionalism, integrity and sound decision-making
n
A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
