We are seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator / Production Worker to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values safety above all else, and wants to develop their skills within a specialised production operation.
n
This role offers a mix of forklift operation, production support, warehouse duties, and the prospect to be trained in operating manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
n
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Safe operation of forklifts for loading, unloading and movement of products and raw materials.
n
Supporting daily manufacturing and production activities.
n
Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
n
Conducting pre-start equipment inspections.
n
Maintaining housekeeping and workplace cleanliness standards.
n
Assisting with stock movements and inventory control.
n
Following Safe Work Procedures and company safety requirements.
n
Working collaboratively with production and warehouse teams.
n
Learning and operating production machinery following training and competency assessment.
n
Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and improvement opportunities.
n
n
To be successful in this role, you MUST possess the following:
n
n
Hold a current LF Forklift Licence.
n
Have experience working in a manufacturing, chemical, warehousing or production environment.
n
Can work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced workplace.
n
Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
Take pride in following procedures and maintaining quality standards.
n
Are physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
n
Have strong attention to detail and a positive team attitude.
n
Are dependable, punctual and willing to learn new skills.
n
n
The following experience will be advantageous:
n
n
Previous exposure to chemicals, dangerous goods or hazardous substances.
n
Experience operating batching, filling, packaging or manufacturing equipment.
n
Experience working within an ISO-certified or highly regulated production environment.
n
HR Licence or other mobile plant licences.
n
Chemical manufacturing, water treatment, industrial processing or production experience.
n
n
