Field Service Plant Mechanic | Lifestyle Roster | Earn $180K+ (OTE)
If you're an experienced Plant or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking for a field role that gives you real autonomy, strong earnings, and lifestyle flexibility — this is one of the most sought-after roles in the region.
As a Field Service Plant Mechanic, you'll be on the front line supporting our customers—responding to breakdowns, performing diagnostics, and delivering high-quality repairs on Caterpillar equipment in the field.

Typical earnings: $145K - $180K+ depending on roster and OT

What You'll Do
Diagnose, service and repair CAT mobile plant equipment in the field.
Deliver safe, high‐quality work with minimal downtime for customers.
Work independently across multiple customer sites.
Represent WesTrac with strong technical capability and customer service.
What You'll Bring
Cert III Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent trade).
Experience with mining or heavy earthmoving equipment (CAT highly regarded).
Solid diagnostics and repair capability.
OEM experience,



SIS/ET exposure (highly regarded).
Ability to work autonomously in the field.
Current driver's licence.
