Details:
This role provides a range of general maintenance services across ACT Government-owned and managed properties, including the installation and removal of flags and banners and the maintenance of non-building assets such as fountains and memorials.
The position is primarily field-based and physically demanding, requiring the successful applicant to undertake a range of manual and practical maintenance activities across various locations. The role delivers programmed and responsive maintenance services and works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and deliver works, complete required work orders, documentation and invoicing as part of your daily duties.
The position also provides day-to-day guidance, training and support to less experienced officers and may undertake supervision when required. While supporting the GSO8 Maintenance Supervisor, the role remains a hands-on position with a strong focus on delivering safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance services in the field.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
This position requires:
Hold or have the capacity to obtain White Card and Asbestos Awareness
Qualification/s in the following are highly desirable MR licence, experience in landscaping or gardening maintenance, Certificate/Tickets in Traffic Control, Working at Heights, Working in Confined Space, or the ability to obtain these are desirable.
Note:
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
This position is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
