Mechanical Fitter - Water Treatment Plant
Workfast is currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our team working on maintenance projects for Water Treatment Plants in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs and Wollongong. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled tradespeople with water infrastructure experience to secure ongoing work on Sydney Water sites.
What's On Offer:
$***** to $*****/hr (Depending on certificates held) + Penalties + Allowances
Consistent 40 +-hour weeks
with occasional overtime

Sydney Water
sites
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience
as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in water treatment or similar industrial & construction environments.
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
in relevant discipline
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- mandatory
Working at Heights MUST
Confined Spaces MUST
Valid Australian work rights (citizen, permanent resident, or unrestricted visa)
Strong understanding and commitment to
site safety protocols
Valuable communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Able to




follow instructions and work autonomously
where required
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
mechanical maintenance
on water treatment equipment and plant machinery
Maintain and repair
pipes, valves, conveyors, and pumps
Assist with
general labouring tasks
around the plant as needed
Support daily operations to ensure smooth functionality of the treatment plant
Participate in site toolbox talks and
maintain strong safety practices
*Project allowance for most areas of the job. Some zones excluded.
