Oppenheimer Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer – Food Safety to support food safety, quality and compliance across our food manufacturing operations.

This is a hands-on role working closely with Production and QA teams to ensure food safety controls are consistently followed, verified and documented across the site.

This is a hands-on role working closely with Production and QA teams to ensure food safety controls are consistently followed, verified and documented across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily QA, GMP and food safety checks across production.
n
Monitor and verify CCPs, temperature controls, hygiene and high-care practices.
n
Maintain accurate HACCP, QMS and food safety records.
n
Identify and investigate non-conformances, food safety incidents and quality issues.
n
Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
n
Assist with internal, customer and external audits.
n
Conduct product,



environmental and microbiological sampling where required.
n
Monitor allergen controls, traceability, labelling and product release requirements.
n
Ensure production teams comply with GMP, hygiene and food safety procedures.
n
Support staff training in HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.
n
Escalate food safety risks and ensure affected product is appropriately controlled.
n

About You
n
Essential
n
n
Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance or a related field.
n
Experience in QA or food safety within food manufacturing.
n
Solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.
n
Experience completing QA checks and maintaining compliance documentation.
n
Strong attention to detail and confidence working on the production floor.
n
Good communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
Experience in cooked, chilled, prepared or ready-to-eat food manufacturing.
n
Experience in a high-care environment.
n
HACCP or Internal Auditor certification.
n
Experience with SQF, BRCGS or another GFSI-recognised standard.
