Baseup Sheds is looking for a practical, highly organised Construction Operations Supervisor to coordinate our earthworks, concreting and shed-building operations.
n
We supply and construct shed projects from the ground up, using our own earthmoving equipment, concreting team, shed-building teams, scissor lifts and other construction machinery.
n
This is a hands‐on coordination role for someone who understands construction, can manage multiple jobs at once and naturally thinks a few steps ahead.
n
The Role
n
You will be responsible for keeping jobs moving efficiently from site preparation through to completion, including:
n
Planning and scheduling upcoming construction works.
n
Allocating crews, employees, machinery and scissor lifts to jobs.
n
Scheduling the earthmover ahead of the concreting crew.
n
Marking out sheds ready for earthworks and concrete.
n
Scheduling and coordinating the concreting team.
n
Splitting concreting labour between finishing current jobs and preparing upcoming jobs where practical.
n
Checking slab dimensions, set‐out and readiness before concrete pours.
n
Inspecting completed slabs for quality, dimensions and levels.
n
Ensuring shed kits and materials are on‐site before builders arrive.
n
Scheduling our three shed‐building teams.
n
Making sure machinery and scissor lifts are available when required.
n
Coordinating reworks and defects.
n
Attending customer defect inspections where required.
n
Monitoring job progress and resolving issues before they cause delays.
n
What We're Looking For
n
We don't need someone who simply updates a construction calendar.
n
We want someone who can look at the programme and know what needs to happen next,



who needs to be there and what equipment they need.
n
You'll ideally have experience in construction supervision, project coordination, concreting, earthworks, shed construction or a similar trade‐based setting.
n
You will need to be:
n
Highly organised and strong at forward planning.
n
Practical and solutions‐focused.
n
Confident managing multiple jobs and crews.
n
Digitally Literate and able to use a computer to a high standard
n
Able to read construction plans and understand dimensions and levels.
n
Comfortable checking workmanship and construction quality.
n
Confident communicating with employees, trades and customers.
n
Comfortable using scheduling and job‐management software.
n
Willing to work both in the office and on‐site.
n
Someone who takes ownership and gets things done.
n
What Success Looks Like
n
The earthworks are completed before the concreters arrive.
n
The slab is checked before concrete is poured.
n
The shed kit is on‐site before the builders start.
n
The scissor lift and machinery are where they need to be.
n
Crews aren't standing around waiting.
n
Problems, defects and reworks are dealt with quickly.
n
And the construction programme keeps moving.
