About the Role
n
Reporting to the Regional SIL Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and delivering clinical care to participants within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. This is a hands-on clinical role suited to a nurse who enjoys working collaboratively with disability support teams while ensuring safe, compliant, and person-centred care.
n
This is a Part-Time position offering flexible shifts based on operational needs.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to a participant living with Stoma, Catheter, Dementia, Parkinsons within a Supported Disability Accomodation (SDA) environment
n
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and contribute to the development and ongoing review of individualised care plans specific to spinal cord injury management
n
Provide and oversee complex care supports including bowel care, stoma care, catheter care (SPC) and infection prevention
n




Administer and monitor medications in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory requirements
n
Provide clinical oversight and guidance to disability support workers.
n
Support the participant to maintain independence, dignity and active community engagement
n
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and health monitoring records
n
Ensure compliance with AHPRA standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and high-intensity support requirements
n
Implement infection control, policies, procedures and risk mitigation strategies
n
Respond effectively to medical emergencies and elevate clinical concerns appropriately
n

About You
n
n
Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
n
Experience in disability, SIL/SDA, community, or aged care settings (highly regarded)
n
Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
n
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and high-intensity support requirements
n
Experience supporting participants with complex health needs (desirable)
n
Excellent communication and leadership skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
Highly organised with robust attention to clinical documentation and compliance
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC (if required), Police Check, First Aid & CPR
n
