An established NSW local government organisation is seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to step into a key leadership position during an important period of change and transformation.
n
This is an immediate 6 month contract chance, suited to a senior P&C; professional who understands the complexities of local government and can quickly build credibility across an organisation.

The Role
n
Leading the People & Culture function, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio including:

Employee and Industrial Relations
n
HR operations and advisory
n
Payroll oversight
n
Learning & Development
n
Work Health & Safety
n
Organisational culture and employee engagement
n
Transformation and continuous improvement
n
Senior and executive recruitment
n
People policy, governance and workforce initiatives

You will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing pragmatic advice while helping strengthen culture, capability and P&C; practices across the organisation.
n
About You
n
We are looking for an experienced P&C; leader who combines strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to navigate complex people matters.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Strong local government experience – essential
n
Previous experience at P&C; Manager, HR Manager, Head of P&C; or equivalent level
n
Strong IR/ER knowledge and experience managing complex matters
n
Experience leading culture, transformation or organisational change
n
Broad exposure across HR, payroll, WHS and L&D;
n
Confidence working with executives and senior stakeholders
n
A sound understanding of local government governance and operating environments
n
A collaborative and approachable leadership style, balanced with the ability to make difficult decisions when required
n
