Job Description
Cathara Consulting are seeking an experienced Project Director to provide end-to-end project management services within a complex, highly governed environment. Working collaboratively with delivery teams, change specialists, senior stakeholders and the Project Control Group, the successful candidate will maintain delivery momentum, strengthen transparency and support continuous improvement in project management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the overarching Project Plan and detailed Stage Plans across planning and delivery cycles.
n
Keep project activity schedules and phase approaches current, aligned and on track.
n
Guide multiple project functions on stage deliverables, sequencing, dependencies and planning priorities.
n
Tailor PRINCE2 practices and agile ways of working to suit the operating environment.
n
Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, issues, changes and dependencies.
n
Identify emerging risks and issues, recommend practical responses and elevate through the appropriate governance channels.
n
Provide fortnightly progress reports, stage-end reports, exception reports and explicit status updates.
n
Work closely with delivery teams, change management, stakeholder management and the Project Support Office.
n
Participate actively in the Project Control Group and maintain visibility across all areas of delivery.

Provide an effective handover of project management activities at the end of the engagement.

About You
n

Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stream programs or projects in a structured governance environment.
n
Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, assurance, reporting, resource oversight and project controls.
n
Practical experience applying and tailoring PRINCE2, together with an understanding of agile delivery practices.
n
Proven ability to manage risks, issues, changes, dependencies and competing priorities.
n
Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, governance groups, delivery teams and change specialists.
n
Excellent communication, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
A collaborative, transparent and continuous-improvement mindset.
