THE ROLE
An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced
Rooms Division Manager
to join a luxury hotel on Queensland's stunning Sunshine Coast.
Reporting directly to the
General Manager
and leading two direct reports, you will take ownership of the strategic leadership and day-to-day performance of the hotel's
Front Office and Housekeeping operations
, including associated contractor services.
This is a senior operational role for an accomplished luxury hotel professional who combines exceptional guest service standards with strong commercial acumen and an ability to inspire high-performing teams.
As Rooms Division Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless guest journey while ensuring operational efficiency, strong financial performance and consistently high luxury service standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across Front Office, Housekeeping and associated contractor services
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Rooms Division team
Ensure guest arrivals, departures, room allocations and communications are managed seamlessly and in line with luxury service expectations
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the overall guest experience
Manage departmental budgets, forecasts and operating costs to achieve financial targets
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability
Optimise occupancy, room inventory and yield management in collaboration with relevant hotel departments
Review operational results and implement strategies to improve performance
Foster strong communication and collaboration between Front Office, Housekeeping and all other hotel departments




Ensure departmental policies, procedures and service standards are consistently maintained
Support the General Manager with broader operational and strategic hotel initiatives
THE MUST HAVES
To be successful in this position, you will be an established hotel leader with significant experience across Rooms Division operations within the luxury hospitality sector.
You will bring:
Demonstrated leadership experience within
luxury hotel Rooms Division operations
Solid operational knowledge across Front Office and Housekeeping
Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing hotel teams
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, forecasts and financial performance
An understanding of occupancy, inventory management, yield and revenue optimisation
Strong knowledge of Front Office systems, including
Opera PMS
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
The ability to manage multiple operational priorities within a quick-paced luxury hotel environment
A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to hotel operations
High levels of professionalism, integrity and sound decision-making
A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
