Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer Gastroenterologist to join the team at Tweed Valley Hospital. This is a part time, contingent worker position classified as a Visiting Medical Officer. Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to Chief Executive approval.
As part of your role, you will be expected to:
Provide specialist gastroenterology medical services and high-quality clinical care to patients within the hospital setting.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Participate in departmental quality improvement, safety initiatives,



and clinical governance activities.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with health service standards.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the necessary professional qualifications and registration requirements for a specialist medical practitioner in New South Wales. Experience working within a hospital or acute care environment within a similar specialty is essential.
