The Company
n
Based in South Windsor, our client is a busy meat manufacturing and processing facility looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their maintenance team.
n
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
n
n
Diagnose and assist with the repair of electrical faults on production equipment
n
Safely disconnect and reconnect motors, drives and plant equipment
n
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance
n
Assist with the installation, replacement and commissioning of electrical components
n
Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals




n
Complete maintenance records
n
Respond to maintenance calls and breakdown requests
n
Participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades and after-hours breakdowns
n
Work safely while complying with WHS, GMP and food safety requirements
n
n
The successful candidate will require the following attributes:
n
n
Electrical trade qualification or proven experience in industrial maintenance
n
Solid electrical background with experience assisting with electrical fault finding
n
Experience working alongside licensed electricians
n
Manufacturing or processing experience
n
Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
Proactive attitude and good work ethic
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
n
Hours & Rates:
n
Day shift hours: Flexible start and finish times
n Rate: $60 per hour + overtime + super
