Practice & Operations Manager – Veteran Healthcare

We are seeking an experienced Practice & Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing veteran healthcare service.
This role requires direct experience working with DVA patients, including a strong understanding of the end-to-end patient journey, DVA applications, approvals and claiming processes.
You will take ownership of practice operations, patient services and team performance, while continually improving the systems and processes that support our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end DVA patient journey, from onboarding through to appointments, applications, approvals, claiming and ongoing care.
Oversee DVA applications, claims and supporting documentation.
Lead and support patient services and administrative teams, including workflow management and training.
Monitor patient pipelines and ensure outstanding actions are proactively followed up.
Develop and improve practice workflows, SOPs and internal processes.
Work closely with doctors, specialists and internal teams to ensure smooth patient coordination.
Maintain high standards across patient records, privacy, compliance and documentation.
Identify operational improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience.




Support the continued growth and development of our veteran healthcare services.
About You
You are an experienced Practice or Operations Manager with solid DVA knowledge, confident leading a team, managing patient operations and driving improvements across a healthcare service.
Direct experience working within DVA healthcare.
Strong knowledge of DVA applications, approvals, claiming and documentation requirements.
Experience managing the end-to-end DVA patient journey.
Previous practice management, healthcare operations or similar leadership experience.
Experience leading patient services or administrative teams.
Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
A proactive approach to improving systems and processes.
Highly Regarded
Experience within the medicinal cannabis sector.
Experience using Best Practice or similar patient management software.
Knowledge of Medicare and broader Australian healthcare administration.
Experience in business development or healthcare growth initiatives.
