The company provides comprehensive HVAC services, including system design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and performance optimisation, for a wide range of commercial and industrial clients. Our client is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team! Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
n
n
Review and analyse project documentation, technical drawings, functional statements and workflows to determine engineering requirements for HVAC systems.
n
Evaluate operational processes to identify efficiencies, areas of duplication and improvements for labour and equipment utilisation.
n
Conduct work measurement studies to establish performance benchmarks for technicians, equipment users and installation timelines.
n
Analyse workforce utilisation, site layouts, project schedules and cost data to optimise the use of labour,



tools and HVAC systems on job sites.
n
Design HVAC mechanical systems, including ductwork layouts, ventilation systems, air-conditioning units, chilled-water systems and mechanical components.
n
Develop engineering specifications for HVAC manufacture, installation, piping, material flow, equipment selection, system capacities and layout of mechanical services.
n
Organise and coordinate project labour, delivery of materials, tools, plant and equipment, ensuring timely project execution.
n
Establish engineering standards, installation procedures, testing protocols, commissioning processes, quality controls and safety compliance requirements.
n
Perform site inspections, testing and performance assessments to ensure HVAC systems meet engineering design and regulatory standards.
n
Direct and coordinate maintenance activities and engineering requirements for new HVAC designs, system upgrades, surveys and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications and Skills:
n
n
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC or mechanical services engineering
n
Strong understanding of Australian HVAC standards, BCA/NCC requirements and mechanical codes.
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prepare engineering documentation.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
n

Salary: This is a full time position with competitive remuneration between $****** - $******* p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week. GALL****
