Job Description
TFX is looking for an experienced Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. This is not an entry-level position. The role will initially be very hands-on and will include a mixture of creditor control, accounts processing and general finance duties. For the right person, there is significant opportunity to grow within the role over the next few years and take on greater responsibility within the finance function.

Key responsibilities

Accounts payable and creditor control
n
Processing supplier invoices and payments
n
Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
n
Account and supplier reconciliations
n
Assisting with bank and general ledger reconciliations
n
Assisting with month-end processes
n
Supporting BAS preparation and lodgements
n
Assisting with management and financial reporting
n
Working across multiple entities within the Timberfix group
n
General finance and accounting support as required
n

About you
n
n
A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping,



accounting qualification or equivalent experience
n
Previous experience in a finance, bookkeeping, accounts or assistant accountant role
n
A sound understanding of basic accounting principles
n
Positive Excel and computer skills
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
The confidence to work independently once trained
n
A willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility
n
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to help wherever required
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
n
