The Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Brake Press Operator to join our production team.
n
Whether you are an experienced operator looking for your next stable role or someone with a solid mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic looking to learn a trade, we want to hear from you.

On the job training will be provided for the right candidate.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Set up and operate CNC/Manual Press Brakes to bend and form sheet metal and steel plates according to technical drawings.
n
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and job specifications.
n
Select, position and align dies and tooling correctly.
n
Conduct quality control checks using measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
n
Perform routine equipment maintenance and report operations issues promptly.
n
Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications
n
Experience:



Previous experience operating a press brake or working in metal fabrication/steel processing is a plus, but not essential – Full training is available.
n
Skills: Ability to read basic technical drawings and use standard measuring tools (or a strong willingness to learn). Forklift license desirable but not essential.
n
Aptitude: High attention to detail, strong mechanical reasoning and good spatial awareness.
n
Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, physically fit and able to work well in a fast-paced factory environment.
n
