We are seeking motivated and safety-focused operators to join our team supporting the maintenance of vital access roads along a major rail corridor in the Pilbara. Based in Karratha, this residential position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of heavy machinery while contributing to the safe and efficient movement of people, equipment, and resources across critical infrastructure.

About the Role
n
As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will play a key role in maintaining access roads throughout the rail corridor, ensuring road conditions remain safe and operational for daily use.
n
Working across multiple sites, you'll be responsible for operating a range of heavy equipment while maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental standards.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n




Operate and maintain heavy plant equipment safely and efficiently.
n
Maintain and rehabilitate access roads along the rail corridor.
n
Float and relocate equipment between project sites as required.
n
Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
n
Identify and report maintenance requirements.
n
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to deliver project outcomes.
n
Adhere to all safety procedures, site standards, and operational requirements.
n

Essential Skills & Experience
n
We're Looking For Candidates With:
n
n
Proven experience operating heavy machinery in construction, civil, mining, or infrastructure environments.
n
Experience operating:n
n
CAT Graders
n
Rollers
n
Watercarts
n
Loaders
n
Heavy Combination Trucks
n
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
n
Minimum HR license or HC Driver's Licence is highly desirable.
n
n
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Previous experience maintaining access roads and haul roads.
n
Additional plant operating tickets, licences,



or certifications.
n
Knowledge of preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
n
Experience working in remote infrastructure, rail, mining, or civil environments.
n
n
To Be Successful, You Will Have
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy machinery.
n
Current driver's licence and relevant operating competencies.
n
A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
n
A commitment to safe work practices.
n
The ability to work a residential roster in Karratha.
n
Flexibility to travel between sites and relocate equipment when required.
n
