Reporting to the HR & Wellbeing Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career HR professional or recent graduate to take the next step in their career. You will gain hands‐on experience across a broad range of people and wellbeing initiatives, build meaningful relationships across Council and contribute to work that supports our employees and the wider community.

We are looking for a proactive and detail‐focused HR & Wellbeing Administrator to join our supportive HR Team. In this varied role, you will be involved across the full employee lifecycle, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR systems, Work Health and Safety, reporting and compliance activities. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your HR capability, contribute to meaningful people initiatives and build strong working relationships with employees and leaders across Council.

The role of HR & Wellbeing Administration Officer includes:
n
n
Assist with recruitment administration activities
n
Assist with Work Health and Safety compliance activities, including coordinating first aid kit replenishment, maintaining WHS noticeboards, completing NHVR licence checks and database maintenance, WHS monitor administration and support the coordination of the drug and alcohol testing process.
n
Assist with setting up training sessions, employment engagement events and activities and data entry of employee accreditations.
n
Prepare and maintain HR & Wellbeing documents, record keeping, data entry and auditing of employee recruitment files
n
Coordinate schedules and documentation for various
committees/meetings
n
Attend and take minutes at nominated meetings
n
Attend to incoming requests and correspondence and refer to appropriate HR & Wellbeing team members.
n
Monitor and attend to central HR mailbox.
n

What we are seeking in our new team member:
n
n
1. Tertiary qualification in Business, Human Resources, Work Health & Safety or similar
n
2. 3 years' relevant Administration experience (Human Resources or Workplace Health and Safety desirable)
n
3. Demonstrated organisational skills, solid interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality and professionalism
n
4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
5. Strong IT and systems capability, with exposure to HRIS systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
n
6. Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work independently
n
7. Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative, face-paced multidisciplinary HR & Wellbeing environment
n
8. Drivers Licence – C Class NSW
n
