About the role
n
Bli Bli Watersports is looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Café Cook / Café Supervisor to join our team.
n
We're looking for someone who can cook confidently in a busy café environment while also stepping up to lead the team and run the café when our Café Manager is not on site.
n
Our Café Manager works three days per week, so this is a excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality person who enjoys being hands-on but is also ready to take responsibility and keep things running smoothly.
n
You'll work across cooking, food preparation, service and coffee, while also directing staff, managing stock and keeping the café organised during busy periods.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Preparing, cooking and serving quality café food
n
Running the café when our Café Manager is not on site
n
Leading and directing café staff throughout the day
n
Keeping service organised and efficient during busy periods
n
Managing food preparation, stock, ordering and restocking
n
Overseeing opening and closing procedures
n
Maintaining high food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards
n
Jumping across the kitchen, service area and coffee machine as needed
n
Taking initiative and identifying what needs to be done
n

What we're looking for
n




Strong hands-on café cooking experience is essential.
n
You don't need to be a qualified chef, but you do need to be a confident and experienced cook who knows their way around a commercial café kitchen and can handle a busy service.

We're looking for someone with:
n
n
Several years' experience in a busy café, kitchen or similar hospitality environment
n
Strong cooking and food preparation skills
n
Previous experience leading or supervising a hospitality team
n
Confidence to take charge and make decisions
n
Strong organisation and time-management skills
n
Good food safety and hygiene knowledge
n
A proactive, reliable and hands-on attitude
n
Weekend availability
n
n
Experience as a Café Cook, Chef, Café Manager, Kitchen Supervisor or experienced Café All-Rounder would be highly regarded.

About Bli Bli Watersports
n
Bli Bli Watersports is a busy Sunshine Coast recreational facility, home to our Wake Park, Aqua Park and Barra Fishing Park.
n
Our café can get extremely busy, particularly on weekends, school holidays and throughout summer. We have a great team and are looking for an experienced person who can come in, take ownership and help us keep building a café we're proud of.
