About the role
n
This is a hands-on outdoor role with a strong focus on grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, general landscape maintenance and operating grounds equipment.
n
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience in grounds maintenance, parks and gardens, landscaping, turf maintenance or a similar outdoor setting.
n
You will also support burial operations and funeral services, with training provided in cemetery-specific duties.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
Mowing, edging and maintaining lawns and cemetery grounds
n
Operating ride-on mowers and hand-operated grounds equipment
n
General grounds, garden and landscape maintenance
n
Undertaking burial activities including grave preparation, digging and final presentation
n
Preparing burial and funeral service areas
n
Identifying cemetery sections and grave locations
n
Assisting with funeral services as required
n




Communicating respectfully with Funeral Directors, families and visitors
n
Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and presentation standards
n
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n
Has previous grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping, parks and gardens or similar experience
n
Is confident operating ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and other grounds maintenance equipment
n
Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in maintaining grounds to a high standard
n
Works well as part of a small team and can complete tasks within required timeframes
n
Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
n
Holds a current NSW Driver Licence
n
Holds a White Card, or is willing to obtain one
n
Has an LR, MR or HR licence and/or excavator or backhoe experience — highly regarded but not essential
n
Previous cemetery or burial experience is not essential. If you bring strong grounds maintenance experience and the right attitude, we can provide training in the specialist aspects of the role.
