South East Queensland Hauliers (SEQH) is looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy environment to join our team as an Operations Coordinator.
n
You'll receive a full handover from the current person in the role, with training and support provided while you learn our processes.
n
No customs or biosecurity experience is required.
n
We understand that not everyone will have experience in this exact type of role. We're looking for transferable skills and the right attitude from people who have worked in transport, logistics, scheduling, administration, customer service, warehouse operations, freight, shipping or other busy environments where they have managed multiple tasks, deadlines and people.
n
Your Day-to-Day
n
This is a busy coordination role where no two days are the same.
n
You'll help keep containers and cargo moving by coordinating requirements, communicating with customers and suppliers, following up outstanding jobs and working closely with our transport, warehouse and wash bay teams.
n
You could be arranging an inspection, following up a clearance,



speaking with a customer about their container and coordinating with another team — all while keeping track of your other priorities.
n
You'll need to be comfortable staying organised, communicating with different people and managing changing priorities throughout the day.
n
What's Involved?
n
Your role will involve coordinating the customs and biosecurity requirements of incoming containers and cargo, including:
n

Coordinating biosecurity inspections and requirements
n
Organising container inspections and unpacking
n
Coordinating customs clearance requirements
n
Liaising with customs brokers and freight forwarders
n
Organising container washing and fumigation
n
Following up documentation and clearances
n
Keeping customers updated on container status
n
Coordinating with transport, warehouse and wash bay teams
n
Maintaining accurate records and systems
n
Following up issues to keep containers moving
n
n
You won't be expected to know all of this when you start — we will train you.

About You
n
We're looking for someone who is:

Strong spoken and written English is essential for this role
n




Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship
n
Confident communicating clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers and internal teams
n
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
n
Comfortable using computers and administrative systems
n
Confident working with documentation and data
n
Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
n

Training & Development
n
You'll receive training in our customs, biosecurity and operational processes, supported by the current person in the role during the handover.

Finish times may vary depending on operational requirements, with hours worked across a 38-hour week.
